Important clamp and NCV guidance: For current measurement, place the clamp around one conductor only. Clamping around both live and neutral conductors together can cancel the magnetic fields and produce an incorrect reading. NCV is an initial detection aid and must not be used as the sole method of proving that a circuit is safe or isolated.
